Today I am talking about hot and cold weather and how to prepare since it can affect your performance. Recently, our air conditioner broke. I normally work out in our home gym, but the heat was unbearable until Madison Alabama AC repair came to fix our unit.
I had to take my kettlebell workouts outside. The heat inside the house was simply stifling and no amount of fans could help my situation. Now maybe if I was up for some hot yoga or birkam yoga it would have been okay!
When there’s really hot weather it’s extremely important to hydrate. Of course in addition to hydration we need to make sure that are electrolytes are balanced. Coconut water is an excellent source of electrolytes.
In cold weather, hydration can be just as important, especially if you are outdoors and it is windy and arid. Other cold weather considerations would be making sure to layer so that you are warm enough initially but don’t overheat. You also want to wear clothing that Wicks and brings sweat away from your body. Cotton for instance is not very good at wicking, and once you cool down if you are wearing cotton you will get very cold. Synthetic fabrics do a better job of removing moisture from the skin.
